A website the farm manages itself

Sillametsa Talu grows vegetables and plants in Pootsi village, Pärnu County, and sells them at plant markets in Tõstamaa, Märjamaa and Lihula. The farm needed a site where seasonal information, photos and prices can change every spring without calling in a developer.

The brief

What was needed.

The old WordPress site was slow, and every change meant asking someone for help. The farm's work is seasonal: each spring the market dates, range and photos change. The site had to be fast, bilingual and so easy to manage that the owner makes changes from a phone.

What we built

What was done.

  • A bilingual website: plant markets, product range, the farm's story, gallery, contact.
  • An admin panel where the owner changes the hero image, text blocks, gallery, block colours, contact details and search descriptions.
  • A gallery of 151 images selected and edited from 269 original photos, 44 MB in total, which loads even on a weak signal.
  • A contact form with three-layer spam protection and no captcha.
  • GDPR: privacy page, cookie notice, self-hosted fonts and not a single third-party script.
  • A six-page brand book as a PDF: logo, colours, fonts and how to use them.

Result

What came of it.

The site has been live since July 2026. The owner made the first content changes on her own in the first week after handover. The old WordPress site is backed up and switched off, so there are no more plugins to update.
